The second session of the Sebring Winter Test saw Adrian Fernandez setting the fastest time in the Lola B09/60 Aston Martin. The Mexican driver posted a 1:48.125, which was out of reach for everyone else.

In the second four hours long session, which started at 1:00 pm, there were three red flag situations. The first came when the Dyson Racing Lola Mazda came to a halt at turn 9. In order to safely retrieve the car the session was stopped for a bit. Over half an hour later the Primetime Race Group LMPC FLM09 car high-sided at turn 10. Again the red flag was shown in order to recover the car.

And only fifteen minutes after the session was red-flagged again when the Intersport Lola B06/10 AER went off at Turn 16. The #37 car ended up in the tyres, but the driver got out of the car and was ok. With one hour and fifteen minutes left on the clocks the session got underway again, with some drops of rain starting to fall as expected.

Just as the clock showed one hour left there was yet another red flag. After already bringing out a red flag for the incident at Turn 10 the Primetime Race Group FLM09 ran out of fuel and came to a halt at Turn 16. Five minutes later the session was restarted once more.

Shortly after the restart the Porsche RS Spyder #6 of Klaus Graf posted the fastest LMP2 time in 1:49.187, just over a second away from the Lola Aston. But twenty-five minutes before the end of the session a brief red-flag period halted the session for the fifth time.

As the checkered flag came out the HPD ARX-01c of Patrón Highcroft Racing was in third place overall, eight tenths of a second behind the Porsche RS Spyder but still almost a quarter of a second ahead of the Dyson Racing Lola B09/86 Mazda.

Fastest in the LMPC class was the #99 Green Earth Team Gunnar FLM09 again. Primetime’s Feinberg and Marcelli were second fastest, despite their problems, while the Level 5 car of Tucker and Bouchut finished the session in third place in the class. Green Earth Team Gunnar was just over nine seconds away from the fastest time, with the other LMPCs over a second further behind.

Bill Auberlen set the fastest lap time in GT2 in the #92 BMW E92 M3. His 2:02.584 was not set in the early stages of the session, but noone was able to match the pace of the BMW in the second session. Risi Competizione came closest, but the Ferrari was still 0.224s behind. The #45 Flying Lizard Porsche 997 GT3 RSR of Bergmeister/Long was third in class at 0.541s from the #92 BMW.

In GTC the #65 Kelly Moss Racing Porsche of Rob Walton set the fastest lap time. The GT3 car was just a tenth quicker than the GT2 #75 JaguarRSR Jaguar XKRS of Gentilozzi and Goossens. LeSaffre and Holden completed the top three in the GTC class.
