The GT1 cars are run by privateers. Manufacturers can build an optimum cars (find loopholes) with the given rules. Remember when the RS Spyders first came in the LMS...they were among the top 5 P1 cars. They were forced to have a gentleman driver. All the GT2 cars are run by manufacturers.
