This season, rhino’s Leipert Motorsport is going to race their Lamborghinis in three different series in 10 different countries

With the start of season 2011 and the cooperation with Reiter Engineering, a new era has begun for the team around Ingo Leipert. After a good start in Dubai, their preparation for the coming season is in full swing.

2 Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 GT3 each are going to be used in the FIA GT3 European Championship and the German ADAC GT Masters tournament. Both series are once again broadcast on national TV, and the ADAC GT Masters fans can once again watch all races live on private TV channel Kabel Eins.

Furthermore, the Team wants to participate in the new Blancpain Endurance series which, amongst other races, also includes the 24 h race in Spa, Belgium. This new long-distance series goes back to the “old values” of long-distance sports. Whilst each FIA GT3 and ADAC GT Masters race still lasts for one hour and has a certain “sprint” character, races of the Blancpain Endurance series last for 3 hours, and 2 to 3 drivers take turns in driving one racing car. As it looks so far, the Blancpain Endurance races will be shown on TV channel Sport1.

With these 3 series, rhino’s Leipert Motorsport has a full calendar and a demanding season 2011. As it stands, the team from Wegberg is going to compete in 10 countries within and outside of Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, GB, Russia, and Germany).

Team Manager Ingo Leipert explains: “With the Blancpain Endurance series, we can now add one further highlight to our racing calendar. The driver duos of the single series are not yet put together, but we are holding talks with several candidates. Any interested driver for these different racing series who has not contacted us yet can still do so. We are currently scheduling tests in order to check interested drivers and to ensure good pre-season preparation for those drivers already chosen.”
