Lotus launches Evora Enduro – GT Concept

The Geneva Motor Show was the place of the launch of the Lotus Evora Enduro GT concept car. The Evora Enduro GT Concept is the base car for the new Lotus GT2/GTE car that will be racing in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup this season and is an evolved version of the Lotus GT4 Endurance. Lotus Motorsport, under the supervision of lead designer Nicola Scimeca developed the new car.

According to Lotus the Enduro will be the base point from which the GT2/GTE homologated cars for the FIA and ACO racing series will be
built. Lotus Motorsports intends to run the car in the following events this year:

23 – 26 June 2011 Nu?rburgring ADAC 24 Hour Race (GER)
28 – 31 July 2011 Spa 24 Hour Race (BEL)
8 & 9 October 2011 Silverstone 24 Hour Race (GB)

The 24 hour races in Dubai and Daytona are on the list for 2012.

  1. 24H Spa is a GT3/4 race. They can not enter it in GT2/GTE spec.

    This is not the GT2/GTE spec Evora, but the Evora Enduro GT. The text says this is an evolved version of the Lotus GT4 Endurance, so it might be entered in GT4. When the Evora GT2/GTE was announced, they also said that they’re making a GT3. So GT3 is also an option for Spa.
