Callaway Corvettes make a return? SIGN ME UP!
@Captain Spyro:
Callaway Corvette is constantly participating in the ADAC GT Masters right from its start; they have already run 4 cars last year, including the interesting lineup with former F1 driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen paired with former skiing champion Sven Hannawald. Hope this pair will be back this year.
The Alpina entry probably means they definitely won’t join the GT1 world series, same for Young Driver AMR.
Some more Ferraris beside the Farnbacher entry would be nice, but with this giant variety of brands this means “complaining on a high level”.
I know Callaway have been in the series for the past few years, but considering the age of those Vettes, I was worried last might be the last year for them. Relieved to see I was wrong.
Also, between Blancpain and ADAC, should be a decent year for GT3.
Never payed any attention to this series but with that Camaro GT3 I’m interested in watching now
@Pierce:
If you like to watch, you can find the timetable on
http://www.adac-gt-masters.de/frameset/index.php
There is live TV coverage on German TV, “Kabel Eins”,
http://www.kabeleins.de, but I’m not sure if it’s possible to receive this program outside Middle Europe.
I have visited the season final at Hockenheim last year, which is close to my place, and it was really great – a weekend ticket for only 25 €, 40 fantastic cars doing 2 exciting races, and a good accompanying program (Formula 3, German touring cars, Lamborghini trophy).
What, no Lotus? :)
All joking aside, it looks like a great mix of cars. Hopefully there’s an internet stream for the series.
Lambda Performance picked up the pieces from Matech right? So they are continuing to run the Matech Ford GT GT3 here correct? Much as I love these cars, they have to be getting close to the end of thier careers.
