The 61st running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida will take place on Saturday, March 16th, 2013. America’s oldest and most prestigious sports car endurance race recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, witnessed by a record crowd.
“The 60th anniversary will be a tough act to follow, but we plan on making next year even bigger,” stated Sebring President and General manger Tres Stephenson. “With Mobil 1 extending their title sponsorship another three years and the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón continuing to add new manufacturers and teams, 2013 promises to be another exciting year for Sebring fans.”
Gates will open on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013. Tickets to the 61st Sebring go on sale August 1st.
Sebring’s 12-hour classic is America’s premier sports car race, founded in 1952 on the site of a former WWII B-17 Army Air Force base known as Hendricks Field. Every March race fans from around the world come to Sebring to watch the grueling endurance race that is second only to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in international prestige.
