Two weeks before the Sebring race week gets underway the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has announced the following waivers for the American Le Mans Series race at Sebring. This race will be run according to Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) regulations and classes, but some minor adjustments have been made for the opening race of the 2010 season.[…]
The 2010 Classic Endurance Racing season will be a little bit different than it was in recent years. Unlike the previous season the historic sportscars will not race at all the Le Mans Series events but only at Paul Ricard HTTT, Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone. Two other rounds will be held at Monza in June and again at Paul Ricard in October. Fifty-five cars are on the provisional entry list for the opening round.[…]

This week the 2010 American Le Mans Series kicked off its season with the annual testing event: the Sebring Winter Test. The two day test event saw 28 teams participating on the Sebring International Raceway. For many teams it was the first possibility to test their cars and see where they are compared to rival teams. The fourth and final four-hour test session kicked took place this afternoon and despite being on top as the flag came out the Aston Martin Racing team was not too happy after the session. Just over one hour into the session the #009 crashed at Turn 1, with significant damage reported.[…]
