Lamborghini And Blancpain Announce 2012 Calendars
Automobili Lamborghini and Blancpain have confirmed the provisional 2012 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo calendar and also announced a new series in Asia to run alongside the established European competition. Marc VDS BMW wins at Silverstone as Champions are Crowned
The nr40 Marc VDS Racing Team BMW Z4 of Bas Leinders, Markus Palttala and Maxime Martin was the strongest car in the 3-hour race at Silverstone, with Martin taking the chequered flag to claim the second win of the season. The victory gave Markus Palttala enough points to claim the Vice Champions position. Greg Franchi finished 5th in the nr33 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8, which was enough to confirm the Belgian driver as the 2011 Blancpain Endurance Series Pro Cup Champion.[...]
Lunardi and Alpina Claim Pole at Silverstone
A flying performance by the nr41 Alpina B6 of Dino Lunardi gave the car its first pole position on its Blancpain Endurance Series debut. The Frenchman posted a lap time of 2:00.094 in the final qualifying session, 1.047s faster than his nearest rival. This was Stephane Ortelli in the nr32 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi, who put in a late fast lap to claim a front row position for tomorrow’s race ahead of Maxime Martin in the nr40 Marc VDS BMW Z4.[...]
