Welcome to The Tour

This is PLM’s dedicated page for The Tour - for Fans of British and Global Motorsport. The fans group was created in 2001 and lead to the birth of The Tour Podcast in 2006. The chat show mixes a blend of both light hearted and serious discussions about the Motorsport world and includes regular interviews with drivers and ‘behind the scenes’ access with teams. Such has been the success of the fortnightly show, it is now downloaded by thousands across the globe.

Creator and host Simon Melluish is joined on the show by David Cooke and the pair have a very likeable camaraderie as they dissect the latest Sportscar and GT news along with the rest of the Motorsport action. As has been said before, The Tour shares a passion with Planetlemans, a love for Sportscar Racing!

Meet the team

Simon Melluish – Creator of The Tour in 2001, Simon has since gone on to introduce The Tour Podcast to fans of British and Global Motorsport. An avid fan of Sportscar racing Simon has written for Planetlemans and other Motorsport media. He has interviewed some of the biggest stars in the world of Motor racing and has produced both fantastic articles and audio.

David Cooke – Co-host of The Tour Podcast, David is the lighter hearted of the two presenters. Knowledgeable about the sport but it is his passion that really comes through on the show along with his regular and infectious laugh! DC has also interviewed many of the world’s best racing drivers that have been broadcast on the show.

The Tour Vision

Si Melluish is now a regular contributor to Planetlemans in an editorial sense and he can clearly work with a microphone aswell as the written word! The Tour Podcast and Planetlemans are passionate about serving Sportscar and GT fans across the world. Planetlemans remains the major source for the latest news in the written sense whilst the boys on The Tour Podcast bring an enjoyable audio experience to listeners that includes serious stories but also takes a more informal and laid back look at some of the major news around the globe.
